Nikolopoulos has been acting as Chief Arbiter at the World Championship final match Anand-Topalov in 2010, World Championship final match Anand-Kramnik in 2008, Women’s World Championships final match Hou Yifan-Koneru Humpy in 2011, World Team Championship 2011, FIDE Grand Prix 2002, World Youth Championships 2002 and 2004, World Junior 2001, World Championship 2004, World Team Championship 2005, European Individual Championship 2009 and European Team Championships in 2007 and 2011.
