Best ever Dutch women’s chess player. Chinese Women’s Champion in 1987, 1990, and 1993. Since 2000, she has won eleven times the Dutch Women’s championship.
She was awarded a gold medal for the best individual result at board 3 at the 1988 Women’s Olympiad. A member of the Chinese Women’s Team which won the bronze at the 1994 Women’s Olympiad.
Best results: Shared first at the Women’s Interzonal 1991, Pozarevac, 4th; Groningen Women Candidates 1997, 3rd; European Championship 2002, 3rd; shared first at the Women’s European Championship 2004; Euwe Memorial Group 1 (NED) 2011, 1st.
A participant in the 2000, 2001 and 2004 World Women’s Championships. A participant in the 1992 and 1994 Olympiads for China and since 1998 for the Netherlands.
Best ELO: 2462 in 2008.
