US Grandmaster born in Uzbekistan. Coach. Moved to the USA in 1996. European U20 Champion 1989-90. Student at the Botvinnik-Kasparov Chess School. Bronze at the 2005 US Championship. Shared the first-fourth places at the 1988 World U20 Championship.
Winner or shared first at Peer Gynt Gausdal 1991, World Open 1999, National Open 2000, World Open 2000, North American Open 2005, Washington Open 2008.
A member of the Uzbek team which won the silver medal at the 1992 Olympiad.
Best ELO: 2600 in 1993.
