Best results: Capablanca Memorial 1992, 1^st; Peru Championship 1993, 2^nd; Schahin Cury GM 1997, 2^nd; Sao Paulo zt 1997, 4^th; Caribbean Open 1999, 1^st.

A participant in seven Olympiads from 1986 until 1998 where he collected an individual bronze medal in 1990.

Retired from international chess since 2000. Best ELO: 2490 in 1992, he was then second best ranked chess player in Peru.
